For Parents, Children, and Adults

Individual Psychotherapy:

Dr. Mok also provides psychotherapy to children and adults. I have experience in treating numerous psychological disorders and supporting patients through difficult times, conflictual relationships, and troubling emotions. She specializes in working with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Neurodivergent Populations. She is also able to provide therapy services in Chinese including Cantonese.

Patient-therapist interactions often vary, but the thing my patients value is Dr. Mok’s supportive, accepting, and interactive style. She works to develop an approach based on what seems helpful for the person she is meeting with. For example, some patients, especially at the beginning of therapy, find questions helpful; others need to talk about whatever is urgent while she listens.

As you talk over the your life experience, things that may feel vague, confusing, and even difficult will begin to emerge. Together you and Dr. Mok will put together the various experiences to understand the development of patterns or styles of relating to the world. When patients can understand their experience rather than blame themselves for frustrations and disappointments, they are ready to choose different options and take risks they didn’t believe they could.

Group Psychotherapy

Dr. Mok also provides Group Therapy for children and adults to address emotional distress and coping skills.
